Bailout philosophy

A CCR diver carries enough open-circuit gas to abort the dive and complete all required decompression from the worst point of the dive, allowing for stress, increased breathing rate and a team-mate in trouble. Bailout is not an afterthought — it is the plan you hope never to use.
